Coursework: There will be weekly homework sets (not graded), reading assignments, one midterm, and a final. The midterm is scheduled for Thursday, February 11.

Very tentative schedule, subject to change:

Exams: The midterm covers Sections 1-28, 30-48, 50 and 52, and is scheduled for Thursday, 02/11. The final is comprehensive. In addition to the material covered by the midterm, it also covers Sections 53-59, Chapters 5 and 6, and Sections 85-89. The final is scheduled for Monday, 03/14, 12:00-3:00pm.

Important remarks: ``Make-up'' exams must be approved and arranged in advance. Absences from exams due to illness or personal crisis must be adequately documented. Your overall score in the course will be a weighted average of your scores on the exams.
