Tutoring: Learning Support Services (LSS) offers course-specific tutoring. Students meet in small groups (up to 4 people per group) led by a tutor. Students are eligible for up to 1 hour of tutoring per week per course, and may sign-up for tutoring at https://eop.sa.ucsc.edu/OTSS/tutorsignup/ beginning October 9th at 10:00am.

Coursework: There will be weekly homework sets, one midterm, and a final (Tuesday, December 11, 4:00-7:00pm). The midterm is scheduled for Thursday, November 8.

Very tentative schedule:

Exams: The midterm covers Chapters 5 and 6 and possibly the very beginning of Chapter 7, and is scheduled for Thursday, November 8. The final is scheduled for Tuesday, December 11, 4:00-7:00pm.

Important remarks: No credit will be given for late homework. ``Make-up'' exams must be approved and arranged in advance. Absences from exams due to illness or personal crisis must be adequately documented. Your overall score in the course will be a weighted average of your scores on homework and the exams.

Homework assignments: Homework assignments will be posted on this website and are due the following week by the end of the second section meeting of the week (Wednesday for MW attendees, Thursday for TTh attendees). Important: All pages of each homework assignment should be stapled; the name of your TA should be written on the front page.
