• Tentative Syllabus: We will cover Chapter 4 (Point Set Topology), Chapter 5 (Elements of Functional Analysis), and some parts of Chapter 6 (L^p Spaces).

• Coursework: There will be weekly homework sets, one midterms, and a final.

• Important remarks: ``Make-up'' exams must be approved and arranged in advance. Your overall score in the course will be the weighted average of your scores on homework and exams. All pages of each homework assignment should be stapled.
